New Zealand joins the space race!

In an unexpected turn of events, New Zealand is on track to becoming a key player in the space industry with  Rocket Lab announcing that the proposed launch site has been official opened.

In March this year, Rocketlab announced that the Rutherford engine qualified for flight.

Since starting work for a small tech company in New Zealand, I'm constantly amazed at what our little country is capable of, and the good work going on behind the scenes by seriously clever people.

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex E07 Idolator

"Is a ship that has been restored by replacing every single wooden part still the same ship?" Episode 7 Marcelo Jarti is a revolutionary leader that closely resembles the real life and mythos of Che Guevara. Jarti was instrumental in the liberation of the State of Jenoma, but instead of taking up as the nation’s leader he continued to fight for the liberation of countries across the world. Jarti is also a notorious drug lord, which he undertakes to fund his liberation movement. We are told that his death has been reported on six separate occasions, and in each case, he has been able to appear unscathed later in time. The adventures of Anders the halfling monk - high times

After our heroes welcome at Elkridge, the group are content to move on back to Arabel with the Neldrath stone. Now I would like to take the time to put to bed some rumours that our foray into the mountains and encounter with Bejark was a "disaster", " a horrible war crime", or any other negative adjective. Its true that Bejark escaped, and yes it's true that an ancient city of priceless archaeological value was destroyed, and nobody is denying that, yes, a verdant jungle biome thriving with life and supporting countless communities was snuffed out. But what people don't understand is that at the end of the day what is important is that we got our stone and that's all the wizard-man/quest-giver in Arabal wanted us to do. Now some people might object to this by pointing out that we had only known this wizard-man/quest-giver in Arabal for like, what, 30 minutes. And on his word we defaced and destroyed an ancient ecological system. What these people don...

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex E03 Android and I

"Grief is a waste of time. If it's between emptiness and grief, give me emptiness".  Episode 3 When an obsolete android model with a cult following starts committing mass 'suicide', Section 9 are called in to investigate. After investigating the plant that the 'Jeri" model android is manufactured in, Kusanagi believes that a hacker introduced a virus into the mainframe, probably by having an infected Jeri sent in for repairs. The Jeri Model android was technologically obsolete even upon introduction. It's cult following stems from its good looks and 'cute' personality. Through a process of elimination, Section 9 discover that the culprit is Marshall McLachlan, the son of the Canadian ambassador to Japan. Marshall is in love with his 'Jeri', whom he considers a real person. His motive for killing off the other Jeri androids is to ensure that his Jeri is unique. Unfortunately, Marshall's Jeri doesn't feel the same ...
